Original Photos

The leading original photo, used on the homepage of the website is of the artist looking in the mirror at her distorted reflection, paying reference to the music video and substituting the woman. Courtney is dressed in casual loungewear, facing the mirror to the left of the photo, hair in a messy bun and with both hands on the dressing table. Her reflection is dressed in revealing, luxurious clothes with excessive makeup and styled hair. She is obviously crying with mascara tear stains running down her face. The background of the photo is dark, contrasting with Courtney and the mirror who are in exposed lighting. The image above is inspiration for this original photo.

The second original photo is of the shot which references Pulp Fiction in the music video but uses the artist instead of the woman form the video. It is photographed exactly like the cover image for the Pulp Fiction movie poster, but like the video, substitutes the magazines for a mobile phone. Courtney wears the same grey lounge wear from the music video with her hair in a messy bun and minimal makeup instead of the black bob and black dress. The image is used alongside the lead photo on the website to promote the single.

The final original photo is the one used for the single/album cover. It composes of a woman’s arm Infront of a mirror, where the reflection shows a tattoo on her outer arm which says ‘GateKeeper’ in the same font as the music video, which would be achieved through makeup. The image below shows the inspiration and the image after is a mock edit of what the single cover should look like.
