Intertextual Reference
In my music video I want to recreate the iconic scene from 'Pulp Fiction', where Uma Thurman's Mia Wallace is laid across a bed, with a cigarette in one hand and a magazine in the other. I want to recreate it exactly with my female character in order to be immediately recognised by the audience. In the remake of the shot, the magazine will be replaced with a mobile phone, and the woman will be wearing her own clothing style. I wanted to use this reference as the character is known for being a bold, independent female, representing what the character from my music video has become.
